I sent McMaster an email today inquiring on how to obtain a catalog. The response was not encouraging. Dang. I hate that. I love my catalog but it is shop worn.

I wonder if they only send catalogs to a business? There is also an app in Google Play as well as the McMaster website .

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your interest in a McMaster-Carr catalog.
I apologize, but we print a limited supply, so we don’t have one available.
You can access our entire catalog online at
www.mcmaster.com, or on our Apple (iPhone and iPad) and Android apps. On these platforms, you can view:
Current prices and stock status for our entire inventory of 700,000 products.
Your order history, including previously purchased products and order documents.
CAD and 3-D models for tens of thousands of products.
Additional images and product specifications.

Having an online catalog has advantages as listed in Richard's email. But it's still nice to page through a real catalog looking for something you might have trouble describing. Now if they had an image search engine it might be more helpful.
BTW anyone want a J C Whitney catalog?

Personally, I don’t have the time patience or eyesight to sift through a printed catalog of any sort; let alone McMaster-Carr.
Having their website and online app has so many advantages beyond just the speed of which to look something up. Invariably, I will blow a picture up to see every detail, including 3-D CAD drawings. So yes, I hope this gives you some encouragement Beyond a printed catalog as much as it’s fun to have.
Oh yeah, and ordering online is faster than any other company I’ve dealt with. It seems as though they are shipping by the time my credit card clears!!!

Yes the fime print does have its disadvantages. I have ordered before noon eastern time and recieved it the very next day most of the time useing standard shipping. So you're right they are fast on shipping. Great company!

The 2025 McMaster Carr catalog is number 131. The previous catalog, 2024 # 130 is being sold by private parties on E-Bay for 13.00 plus shipping. Who knew that there is a cottage industry in McMaster catalogs. I have noticed that they are plentiful in large corporate maintenance shops, and engineering departments. No purchasing agent wants to over ride a McMaster part number requested by maintenance :}
