Lost Radiator Shroud 1984 8V92TA - Guy - 03-03-2025

Help.
Had my radiator rebuilt after several years of rodding and cleaning the original radiator. Shop did a great job. Fast forward to now. Went to install the radiator. Never noticed that the shroud was not on it, although I have photos of it being transported to the radiator shop with the shroud . Radiator shop can't find the shroud. My fault for not checking the details at the time . My problem is , dimensions to source, or build a new shroud.  Looking at the radiator ,the shroud was approximately  33 1/2 inches tall. and 37 1/4 wide, with four  1/4 x 3 bolts on the flange on each side. I don't know the depth. The fan blade is 32 inches across, so the shroud must have been very minimal. can any of you GURU'S help ?  If anyone can measure classic 8V92 shroud, it would be much appreciated. Hopefully two Newells might be the same. The only other course of action I have would be to bolt the radiator in , and make the measurements .

You call newell? I'd shop ebay or a truck wrecking yard but you may still have to have a fiberglass shop fab it to fit, might not look as pretty but long as it works. I would not run the coach without it those 8-92s need all the cooling they can.

I found a photo of it when we first bought the coach 9 years ago, and a\ was cleaning the radiator area. Its an all steel box with flanges to bolt to the radiator, nearly all the metal is cut out for the 32 inch fan. The radiator core itself is 34" tall x 37 1/2" wide, so that gives me good dimensions other than depth. Judging by the photo, it is between 2 and 3 inches. I would like to be sure of the depth before i have a sheet metal shop make it up.

Depth : 2 1/2 " , measured outside . .062 thickness. 
Height : 35 1/2 "
Width : 35 " 
Hole : 33 1/4 " I do not know if it is centered !!
Flange width : 1 "

I just had my generator shroud fabbed up in stainless.  Much smaller but the same.  $175 all in.

A decent shop should make one quickly.

Thank you very much. Appears that Newell did make a few things the same. Hole size and shroud depth was the missing info needed. Many Thanks !

That looks like .125 aluminum it will take some fabrication skills to make it but not impossible, if you can place a piece of cardboard in front of the fan, mark the sides of the radiator then find dead center of the fan and mark it this would give you a template to work from.

Thank you. Dimensions are dialed in now. Evidently, the great state of Texas is not in a recession. All the small job fab shops are 3 weeks out. It is what it is
