yea, very different arrangement. btw, i have the same alternator on mine. i have replaced the oil seal on the front once.

Does the 96 have a double belt on the engine or single? My 99 had a double belt and kept stretching

my 02 has a serpentine belt for just the alternator. and then a double v belt for the air con compressor. it flops around like crazy.

My 99 has only one serpentine belt. Goes to alternator and A/C compressor. Chappell

i sure wish my serpentine belt did the ac compressor as well

Your probably off that is doesn't. You need to buy a double row I belt for the air conditioner. I will try to fine the part number
