All,
On our current coach our Splendide Washer/Dryer combo unit was making a loud banging noise during the spin cycle. The unit was level and all attachments were tied back and nothing was touching the unit. After removing it from the coach and investigating the WD unit found the attachment bolts on the concrete counterweight loose. Once tight the machine is back to sounding new. I removed the unit from the coach but one could build a platform to slide the WD unit clear of the cabinet and remove the top (two screws) to gain access to these bolts. I have never had this happen to any of our machines over the years so this was a first for me.

Good info Steve we have one of these in the bus now if I hear something I'll go right to that concrete counter weight. Thumbs up!

That's great news! I'm glad you found the issue and looked into it. I believe this may apply to most front loader machines.

Absolutely would apply.....this one sounded like a rod knocking in an engine just before the slick stuff leaves. BTW don't ask how I know:-)

i have a splendide stacked washer dryer. i bought it used with hardly any use. a common issue with the dryers is the bearings in the motor. it sounded horrible. 16 buck of timpken bears from amazon and an hour or so i made it like new. most folks are throwing 300 dollar motors at it.

More good info Tom, we have had limited success with the drying part of the unit but it washes great.

Morning Jack. Carolyn uses our Splendide several times a week and has done so for years. The washer has worked fine and so has the dryer soon as we learned it will wash more than it will dry. So wash two sheets and pillow cases. Then dry one sheet and pillow case followed by drying to other ones. Both will be dry that way faster than leaving both in the dryer. Hope this helps you
