Thoughts on salvage title Newells???
#1

Hey all gurus, its been awhile since I posted, Once I sold my beloved 746 I've been getting a itch to be back in the Newell family. I
know there are varied opinions on this subject. But what does having a salvage or rebuilt title do to the the price difference?  Would that be 20% to 30% or more from a non rebuilt title?

I've rebuilt plenty of cars that had salvage titles but they are not in the same ballpark as a Newell or Prevost etc.

Just looking for opinions.

Salvage or rebuilt title wouldn't run me off but I'd investigate the incident well before I bought it, you might have as much money invested in rebuilding it than just finding a deal on one that people need to bail on.

IIRC Newell won't work or support one with a rebuilt/salvage title. I'm not sure but worth talking to them about it before you buy.

I believe that Newell doesn't support coaches with salvage titles. because there is no way to verify that the coach was rebuilt to Newell quality standards. Very often reconstructed vehicles are brought back to life with shortcuts. These shortcuts could mar the fantastic name Newell has in the coach industry.

Just a heads up for all the gurus, I did talk to Newell about the coach I'm looking at, they will work on them and actually had one in late last year. I've also heard that they do not work on any but that's just not the case.

Now the one thing that I do know for sure is that it's tough and almost impossible to get on financed so you better have all the greenbacks to buy it outright.

Insurance for a salvage or rebuilt title would be something I'd check before buying. I suspect liability coverage might not be a problem vs. collision coverage.
