We left nome yesterday to visit the cedar point area near Sandusky, Ohio. I started the generator and plan to run it til we get home Sunday..probably 50 hrs continuous. Im curious as to how many hour she others ha even run your generator continuously?

We often run ours 24-36 hrs continuously. On occasion have run up to 72 hrs continuously. I do like to shut down & check oil level every 24 hrs if at all possible. Hard to not be possible as it can be done in 5 mins. or less! But, once in awhile I get lazy and think it's only going to be running another 6-12 hrs so it should be fine to skip 24 hr oil check. Especially since I've only added oil once in 6 yrs and that was getting near service point & oil change anyway.

IIRC Newell uses a continuous duty generator. Not sure when they started using them but they are pretty robust and they like to run.

Agree with Forest. The Newell Owners Manual on my 1992 on 5.1 states:
"The diesel generator is designed for continuous duty operation. If desired, it can be run without interruption other than the observation of the recommended 150 hour service intervals."
So you should be able to run it for 6.25 days, shut it down, change the oil and filters, and fire it up for another 6.25 days.
