we are in sunny (at last) TEXAS helping. We departed KY Sunday afternoon and the trip
Took 3 days. Everywhere we turned we faced closed roads. The folks at MOT allowed
Us stay on their lot overnight ( good people)
Clean up is moving on, but at a slow pace
Many groups have made the trip to assist. Feeding this many volunteers is a big job
We went a a local pizza place to pick up lunch and people were carrying out 20-30
Pies at a time. Wait times were 60-70 minutes
The smell of molding furniture and carpet seeps though the air.
The biles of debris grows as you watch
Just hauling it away will be a huge undertaking
But Houston will rebuild
