Amirillo Texas
#1

We are at Oasis RV Resort in Amirillo off I-40. It is fairly new and all paved with a good pool and modern facilities. good place if you pull a trailer as there is lots of room. No noise and cheap too....Lot's of SOB's here but no Newell friends....

Wait !!! I think we are starting to feel the magnetic pull of the the "Gurujmahal" !! We were headed to New Mexico (we thought), but this morning the GPS had a Skull and Cross bones on it ....

We've stayed there a few times. Nice place. The Big Texan steakhouse will come pick you up for dinner in their cadillacs with longhorns on them.

We have stayed at the Oasis a number of times and I think it is a sister park to Buckhorn. Also another park we have stayed at is the Cotton Gin in Goodlett, TX. about a 100 miles south of Amarillo on 287. The Cotton Gin is a days drive from Nacogdoches when we are heading toward Santa Fe. It is nothing like the Oasis, but can park a 45 foot OK.

The Big Texan also has a pretty decent breakfast buffet.

Tom,
you've had the permit for a few weeks now. I figured you would be mostly done by now ... Maybe we need to get Richard supervising this job ??? We figured we come and park in the air conditioned building and kick back in the man cave and watch the 65" TV while woofing down burgers ..... I guess we need to be patient a few more weeks for you to finish up.

The Big Texan used to live stream the 72oz steak challenge on their web site. I always wanted to pay for a homeless person to go in & take the challenge.
