I have replacement air bags that have composite piston/base in lieu of the originals which have aluminum pistons .
Question: are any of you using air bags with composite piston ?
I'm afraid the $950 per bag option is not feasible for me.
Thank you,

Chris,
I don’t have any experience with the composite bases. But composite, injection molding technology, has become a replacement for many metal parts in high stress applications. For one, intake manifolds on a ton of new vehicles are now injection molded composite.
I wouldn’t have any reservations about using a composite part in that application.

I replaced all my bags with the new composite base bags, and you should definatly be able to source the bags cheaper than 950.00 each

Yes , I have four new bags now , significantly less than the 950 Newell is asking for one bag .
