Slides stuck out! Help
#1

Parked at kids house in California on a pretty slope driveway, but was able to level it using the airbags. Now trying to leave and I can’t get the yellow flashing light on the HWH to stop flashing and the excess slope is lit up on the controller, I’m guessing because the excess slope is lit. It will not allow the the slides to move. I’ve tried everything dumping the coach down, raising the coach up. I can get the coach almost perfectly level, but still can’t get the excess Sloope light to turn off. Any ideas?
Gregg I’ll keep checking this, but if someone wants to call me that would be great too. 530-228-5399

Well, I got the slides to come in, they actually moved even with the yellow light still flashing. Not really sure if they’re supposed to do that or not, but at least I’m not stuck in California.

Yes, I did put it in travel mode first and that’s when the excess slope light turned on. I then turned the keys and the yellow lights started flashing.  They never stopped.  So, thinking it was due to the excess slope light. I took it out of travel
Mode and tried leveling it again.  I got it almost perfectly level with a bubble level but the excess slope light would not go out and the yellow lights continued to flash . I put it back into travel mode cycled the keys and still the yellow lights continued flashing.  I went out and checked to make sure the seals were deflated and pushed the button even though the lights were still flashing and the slides came in.  The excess Sloope light did not turn off until I head back all the way out of the driveway.  I was told the slides would not operate at all if the lights were still flashing yellow, but I guess that’s not the case.

Hmmm, and you may not have noticed this in the heat of the moment. When you turned the key to activate the slides, did the yellow light on the room control panel come on? There is a 15 to 20 second delay after you turn the key, to allow the slide seal to deflate. The room will not move until the yellow light activates.

And as Tom said you always deploy and retract the slides in the travel mode. There is nothing in the system that prevents you from moving them in the level mode, but you can cause all kinds of twisting and torquing issues if you do.

On my first attempt, I started the coach, placed it in fast idle, and turned the room slide key. The yellow light started to flash and would not go solid. I waited several minutes. Then I noticed the slope warning and figured that may be why. That’s when I leveled the coach and went down the troubleshoot path I outlined in my above post.
