My Amana failed once the Magnum inverter pooped itself. Since the fridge was pretty old and had rust, I figured it was time to replace it. I went with a Fisher & Paykel unit. I think it was 33" wide. To get the height I needed it required two 3/4" plywood boards underneath and finished with aluminum angle to trim the plywood edges. Counter depth worked great but I added a couple 2x4's at the rear wall to keep the fridge from being pushed in too far. Since it was a bit narrower, I made filler strips painted to exact color of cabinets. Long screws through the feet of the fridge keep it secure. Wedged in another block of wood up top. No issues during our trips. Love the efficiency of the fridge with our solar. I never turn it off.
Thanks for all of the replies and information, everyone! I haven't been getting notifications about replies so sorry for not responding sooner.
I might try to repair ours if I can. We're not having any luck finding a replacement that we really like.
Our refrigerator doors are flush with the surrounding cabinets and I really want to find something similar. I don't want a unit that is going to protrude 4 or 5 inches from the cabinets.
The problem we're finding is that even with the cabinet depth units, the doors have to stick out past the cabinets in order to open properly.
I like the looks of that Fisher and Paykel!
We've been looking at various brands: Fisher and Paykel, Cafe, Dacor, Jenn Air, Bosch etc. but I'm not sure if any of them will actually open correctly if they're not sticking out a ways.
I spoke to Newell today and they're looking into some units for us as well.
It's probably silly to be so particular about the looks but, it's really going to bother me not having it flush or as close to flush as possible haha.
Thanks again, everyone!
Tyler.

I got a condenser fan motor and an evaporator fan motor ordered last night and they shipped today. I'm going to try and repair the Amana and hope it gets us by for a while. Hopefully it will keep going until we can save for a new unit.
I found a built in unit that will fit perfectly. It's a Fisher and Paykel Model: RS36A72J1N.
I was hoping to get a matching sheet of veneer from Newell for the front panel but I don't know that they can get it for us.

I replaced both the evaporator fan motor and condenser fan motor with new oem units on Sunday. I had tried to replace them the previous weekend but pulled the overload apart while trying to remove the old wires. I had to order a new overload and wait for it to arrive before finishing.
So far it has been working great, without any issues.
One of the plastic adjustable wheels broke, making the fridge sit out of level, so I've got to get one ordered. The place I ordered the parts from didn't have the wheel assembly and it looks like I might have to find a used one on ebay.
Thanks again for all the information

That is who I ordered the motors from. Hannah found a different place for the overload because it had faster shipping. I need to spend some more time looking around.

The Amana made it nearly 2 months without issue, but finally died last week.
Although it didn't last as long as we had hoped, it did give us time to find a good option for a replacement unit.
We ended up going with an LG model: LF24Z6530S 24 cu. ft. Counter Depth MAX Zero Clearance 3-Door French Door Refrigerator.
The doors aren't completely flush with the cabinet, like the fisher Paykel that we looked at, but they only protrude about an inch. That's not the fault of the refrigerator though, If we had just a little more depth in the cabinet, it would've been flush.
We're both really happy with the fit, and the stainless doesn't clash with the interior colors at all.
