Starlink Mini is a game changer within a game changing Starlink world.
Some are using phone charger batteries to have a really portable unit. I bought a Dewalt adapter for my 20 volt batteries. That'll give me an option for a quick portable solution when I don't want to run the cable. But I'm still limited by the router power for distance. I have plenty of Dewalt batteries.
I've also heard of people using certain usb chargers that output 18 or so volts. Starlink mini seems to want 18 volts.

I was thinking about an adapter for Ryobi (or other brand) battery's and realized I should be able to put a pigtail connector on the charger. I have a bunch of chargers, a couple of them are very compact. I'll take one apart & see.

Jim from what I understand as long as your adapter puts out 18+ vdc and 100+ watts it should power the mini. IOW an adapter that can charge a laptop, usually with usb-c connectors should work. The Mini connector is a standard 5.5 mm barrel connector (don't have all the specs at hand but easily found) but the Starlink model is weatherproof.
One tip is to make sure the heating function is off.
That said here's a couple that I've seen people recommend:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CT5HVGLG/?co..._lig_dp_it
And if you feel like building something you can use a boost converter like this one to provide 24 vdc:

And here is a cable with barrel connector x usb-c connector:

One other thing if you're using a Dewalt is the low voltage shut off is on the tool and NOT on the battery. So it's easy to kill the battery. The adapter I have has a low volt shut off to prevent that. Not sure about other batteries if the shut off is on the battery or the tool.
Here is the one I bought, they have other battery adapters also and the cable, make sure you buy the cover!:

Thanks Forest. It appears Ryobi has the low voltage protection in the battery. The small Ryobi charger I have has the 120VAC-18VDC 60W circuitry in the wall plug, I haven't taken the base apart yet. The other options you posted are interesting. I would think a smaller Starlink will be available this year with different requirements.
On edit: I did take the Ryobi charger apart, drilled holes in the PC board and soldered a pigtail for Starlink Mini.

From my research it looks like the mini needs 60-80 watts or so at 18v+ to first boot up and find satelites. After it does 40 watts and a lower voltage works. Of course the heating turned on brings it to 100 watts.

I was a bit off on the power usage. Just hooked my mini up for the first time. Got an email that Starlink was going to start charging me and I had to activate it then put it on pause. So it uses 20 watts on average. Works great on the Dewalt 20volt battery.
The 120vac adapter puts out 30 vdc.

I think we will buy the mini just for the size we downsized when we bought the bus and do not have the storage that we use to have. I would mount it permanent to the roof and not have to set up and dismount every time we move. So let me get this straight I can keep my old unit at home then when one the road switch to the mini account and only pay for one subscription?

You can pause either one. You pay for 30 days at a time with either one. So if you put one on pause it'll work until that 30 day period is over. That's what I plan to do for the mini. Just turn it on when I need it. The Gen 3 at the cabin I leave on so I can see my cameras and adjust my thermostats if I need to.
All done from Starlink.com in your account.
